What We Publish
The Hinksey Review publishes original research articles: formal, structured, analytical works of applied research that investigate consequential questions in business, economics, policy, technology, and society.
We do not publish literature reviews, textbook summaries, opinion pieces, or restatements of established positions. Every submission must make a genuine intellectual contribution: a new argument, a new analysis, a new application of existing theory, or a focused investigation of a real-world problem.
What We Look For
The contribution must be clearly identifiable. We are looking for work that adds something: a new argument, a new dataset, a new application of existing theory, or a new way of interpreting a real-world problem.
Claims must be substantiated. Evidence must be sourced and cited. Methodology must be stated and defensible. We hold empirical work to standards of data integrity and analytical consistency, and argumentative work to standards of logical coherence and intellectual discipline.
The research should speak to real-world conditions, systems, markets, institutions, or decisions. The strongest submissions answer a question that a practitioner, policymaker, organisation, or serious reader would recognise as worth asking.
